Good Points

Excellent picture once calibrated properly. Great PQ with HD content, especially Blu-ray 1080p output. Best blacks on any LCD, bar none.


Bad Points

Terrible 'out of the box' PQ. Very faint banding (uneven backlight). DTV EPG (Electronic Program Guide) is awful. Sound isn't great.


General Comments

Sharp Aquos LC42XD1E is the best LCD in it's price range. If it wasn't for the slight banding, mediocre audio and disgusting EPG, it would be a clear 10/10.
