They take small orders I suppose thats good, and they are cheap, but when you have to wait 2 months for orders that kind of defeats the object because you have to give freebies as an apology to your own customers for keeping them waiting. Sample order came in good time with nice products, every single other order late, 4 to 9 weeks from order, and always something missing or the wrong things sent.
If they do answer the phone they promise delivery to get rid of you and it never arrives when they say.
Full of excuses, which is no use when you have customers waiting for orders, especially when you are promised a date several times and then have to let your own customers down time after time.
Quality of good varies, printing and labels are unprofessional. Fragrance varies considerably, some items have hardly any fragrance.
I've received soap tainted with botanical bits from other soaps, bathboms that have not had the colour mixed in properly, and badly mixed/filled pots of creams/butters/lip balm etc.
They take items off their list with no warning, change packaging, and don't keep a record of how they labelled previous orders.
Items for special occasions, eg Christmas, valentines, Mother's day, are put on a couple of weeks before the dates, not much use when their orders take over 3 weeks.
Postage is hit and miss and appears to bear no relation to the weight of the order or number of boxes. For a company who in early 2007 said in the newspaper that they had a turnover of £180000, and hoped their new range would bring them £2.5 million turnover in 3 years, they seem to have lost their focus....a year later and that range has yet to be launched.
You won't keep a loyal customer base by consistently going weeks over the stated 2 week delivery, or by sending orders with missing and wrong items.
I am still waiting for a part order, which was ordered in 2007, part sent last week after much hassle, and it is now mid February, so if you are in a hurry don't even bother.
Perhaps their rapid expansion has resulted in the poor service and variable quality of the products, but there are many suppliers who send items in a timely manner, and to a very good quality and however cheap the products are from the soap centre there is no substitute for a decent all round service.
