Good Points

A meter for body parts which are being damaged
Actually have to tap the hell out of the buttons to get out of a submission or get to the rope.
Harder AI meaning you dont just thrash them if you playsomeone like goldberg they will thrash you.
Blood, finally!
Players get tired etc and others are harder to beat.
You can reverse smackdown moves with out wasting your smackdown icon
Reversing is a lot better
More realism e.g. rey mysterio cant slam big show and big show cant do a moonsault.
You can collect XP to make your wrestler better
Season stats like career record and win loss etc

Bad Points

Season mode is too predictable and short.
Some back stage areas are just stupid.
Legends arent really legends, no Brett Hart, Mr perfect or Macho Man or anything rubbish like sheik and old undertaker.

General Comments

The new smackdown is by far the best in the series gameplay wise when you are actually in the ring the matches can last longer and play more realistically then before. The Create features are pretty much the same but you can't really improve this feature anymore. The real let down of this game is the season it looks great when you start, you get to talk to wrestlers backstage and stuff and fight on the weekly shows but the storylines are too predictable and seen on tv and after 1 year it ends. If you ask your gm for a title shot they basially say which one and give it to you which sucks as you dont have to earn it or anything. I could write a massive review and spoil the game for you if you are a smackdown fan you will love this if you want a game to play your mates on you will definately love it as for how long it will last, it depends on how quickly you get bored of these things you will get bored of the seasonmode straight away don't buy it for the season buy it for the multiplayer I hope I have helped you decide on this but it is definately worth the money.
