A draining, time wasting experience from Bank of Scotland incorrect handing of the account opening to their failure to mail an account statement on closing the account.
Internet account opening resulted in incorrect type of account being opened.
Funding the account resulted in the money being in limbo for a month due to incorrect account opening information being supplied by Bank of Scotland International new accounts department.
Tracing the missing money and negotiating reimbursement for the interest lost and 25 phone calls took another week.
Waiting a week for an electronic/immediate transfer of money and being charged 30 for the privilege.
Being promised a closing statement which failed to appear after one month and then having to send two emails and make another phone call before finally receiving it.
