Good Points

the camera does quite well outside using available light to produce images

Bad Points

the very poor flash makes indoor shooting almost impossible. I was very disappointed.

General Comments

With the advent of the Nikon Coolpix 5000 digital camera, I thought it would be the perfect upgrade camera for me. I am a fan of photography and shoot hundreds of pictures, mainly outdoor shots and pictures of my grandchildren. The camera performs quite well using outdoor lighting BUT the flash makes taking indoor photos impossible. I was and am so very disappointed. I was expecting so much more, and will be either returning this camera or giving it away.
