Chase sponsors the NCKidsCard, which is a debit card that child support wages are credited to. I get very little money every month for child support, enough to cover just one week of full-time daycare. This card is said to make your life easier and your money accessible 24 hours a day. They hit me with a $1.50 fee when I withdraw from any atm other than Chase. A $5.00 fee for relacing it, $.50 for a balance inquiry, $12.50 check issuance and account closure fee, and a $1.50 inactivity fee. These are a few of the fees. Plus, I live in North Carolina, and there are NO CHASE BANKS anywhere near me, so I have no choice but to go to another ATM. I am a single mother, part-time employee and part-time student, and It took a lot of time and pain to finally get the child support payments. This money helps take care of my daughter, NOT CHASE.

I found this review helpful because... I just received my nckidscard and was reading over the paper work and all the possible fees. So I decided to look online beforehand for a chase atm, and like you I discovered there isn't one in NC. Why would they distribute debit cards to parents that you cannot use unless you go to another bank and get hit with fees? I guess, the expect you to make purchases with cash back?

I agree with this review because...there are enough bank with headquarters located in NC that it seems stupid to go with chase.

The review is very true about fees and costs associated with it. If there are any 7-11 gas stations there you guys can go to those atms for free. I just thought I would help you out with that info. It does seem more practical to use a local bank than having to trouble with finding a free atm. I think it is rediculous to be penalized with fees for trying to take care of your child(ren) on what little childsupport you get.

I am fixing to activate my chase card after reading the reviews I seriously don't like it. I knew there was some catch to this. Has anyone tried a "cash points" they USUALLY don't charge.
Has any one tried to change to direct deposit?
