Good service on phone when you are switching to British Gas. Providing a warm welcome and fast connection probably within 7 to 14 days
Bad Points
Price is high and they are rising as it cannot be a guarantee that it will not rise again in few months or in few years time .
The 15% increase in gas and 15% increase in electricity prices has taken effect from 18th January 2008.
There is an offer from British Gas, Price Protection February 2009 is a new fixed offer. You will benefit from this offer if the price of gas and electricity is to increase again, as this offer will give a fixed price for contract time.
General Comments
The UK is increasingly part of a global market and what happens across the rest of the world, like natural disasters, developments in the Middle East and the price of oil, will impact on the cost of energy in the UK. This problem is not only with British Gas and electricity but in every provider. But the service is good with British Gas.
