Good Points
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday 21/01/2008 - 04/02/08, the first week being a Nile cruise on MS Lady Mary. We could not fault the boat or its crew in anyway whatsoever. The bar staff and restaurant staff could not have been more helpful or attentive. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. We liked the idea of an antiseptic hand gel that you had to use before you went in the restaurant and we feel that this probably prevented a lot of upset stomachs, although on saying that we saw them testing the food on a regular basis with a thermometer, so we felt protected on that score. The entertainment in the lounge bar was excellent, they really made an effort to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves and that we did! We enjoyed being introduced to the heads of all the different areas including the captain, who even joined us on the dance floor quite a few times and even waved to us from his cabin when we returned from trips. We had a tour of the boat one day with him, he showed us round the engine room, kitchens etc. He was obviously very proud of his boat. The trips were really enjoyable, we had an excellent Egyptogolist who really knew 'his stuff' and obviously enjoyed telling us all about the temples, Pyramids, tombs etc. It was absolutely fascinating and we have bought a book on the subject after we had been on the cruise.

Bad Points
The only criticism was that the chairs and settees in the lounge bar could have done with re-upholstering.

General Comments
Can we add that the rep, was the most wonderful rep we have ever had and will probably never have one like him again. He was most attentive, every night he came to every table in turn and told us all about what was happening the following day, what time we would have an early morningcall, what to take with us etc. He wanted to know if anyone was poorly, what room no they were in and then the following day he would make enquiries as to whether they were felling better etc. When anyone needed to go to the pharmacy, the captain would send one of thecrew members with us to make sure we got to the pharmacy ok and wait to take us back afterwards. After the cruise both the Le Meridien Hotel in Cairo and the Nile Palace in Luxor were both excellent. The reps were there to see us on our flights and to take us to the hotels.
