General Comments

WOW, is all i can say about FIFA Football 2004. EA really have pulled out the magic wand here with what they have sqeezed into the little cartidge. Where do i start?

The graphics:- Ok now any games player who knows a good game will also know that graphics DON'T make a game! But....on a hand held, they play a big part in many happy hours spent under your sheets playing with your......Advance!!! They are crisp, clear and the animation is tops. All the real teams kits are here too (what helps, lol). You can actually cross the ball in this season's version! So diving headers and volley's are all here. The Passing in this game is superb, not since Winning Eleven (Jap version) have i played a passing game like this on a hand held. It puts some main stream console footy sims to shame.

The sound:- Well the in match sound is pretty basic, but does what it's meant too. All the whistle's and crowd noise's are there. The menu music is superb tho! I dont know how they have managed to get the songs onto this cartridge with all the other things.

There are pleanty of cup's and league's to keep everyone happy. All major leagues from around the globe are here, all with their real named players too. The skill settings are ace, you can make the game as hard as you like with the "TEAM SKILL" or the "KEEPER SKILL". So you could play CPU team skill on Pro (pretty good challenge) and the CPU keepers on pro or world class. It becomes great when your 2-1 down with 15mins to go in the 2nd half, and your peppering the enemy goal, but the keeper is making finger tip saves! superb. After the games when it gives you the other results from around the league or cup your in, you can view the highlights of those games too, now that is impressive.

So in a nut shell if you like football (sorry Soccer) this is a fantastic little game to have.
Reviews i have read on this game have said "if you own the Fifa 2003 there may not be enough in this one". I disagree totally. The very fact you can cross the ball properly and get your players on the end of it makes it a totally new game. How can you have football without the crossing?? Passing is far more slick compard to last time out and the whole presentaion is far better. Buy it.
