Good looking and lovely leather. Chair is uncomfortable to sit on after a period of time. Two areas become irritating to me after about 15-20 minutes. The first is a line of very prominent stitching that presses into the small of the back and the second is where 4 panels of leather are stitched together on either side of the back rest and form two small lumps. These coincide perfectly with my shoulder blades. The net result is that I am slouching in the chair and using a cushion to try and get some support for the small of my back. This is not what I expected when I spent over a £1200 on a chair
Very poor and arrogant customer service. Their letter to me stated "The Mayfair is one of of our best sellers worldwide and the specification is the same for every one manufactured. We do not feel there is a design fault and therefore is not a manufacturing defect. Regrettably in this instance we are unable to proceed with this matter further."
The person writing this letter does not obviously understand a specification is something that the manufacturing process attempts to follow. Saying that there cannot be a fault without inspecting the seat is arrogant and not customer orientated. The fact that one of the upholstery buttons in the seat has fallen off indicates that all is not well. If you decide to buy make sure you sit in it for 20 minutes and don't wear a thick jumper or jacket as I did. Sit in it wearing only a shirt - as you would in your own house.
