Good Points

Classy looks, impressive reception, FM option.

Bad Points

Mains only, sound lacks bass.

General Comments

I spent some time looking at and listening to DAB radios in my local Currys and what impressed me about the Intempo PG-01, was that it picked up a number of stations clearly, despite being surrounded by hundreds of working video/audio/pc equipment displays in the store! It looked good and was priced under £100. On getting it home I was amazed that it found 45 stations, many where out of my area, yet they were received clearly. The setup was straight forward, the only time I referred to the manual was to set the alarm. My only disappointment is that it's mains only (with a very cumbersome mains adapter) and the sound (although very clear and loud)lacked bass frequency. Compared to the Evoke radios, this is much better value and I highly recommend it.
