Good Points

Our balcony room was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate.


Bad Points

1. Service throughout the ship except for our dinner servers in the Milano was bad. We received very few smiles and experienced, a majority of the time, less than willingness to help. 2. The food was "lousy". It was the same type of fare all the time and poorly prepared. Coffee was not offered at the dinner meal. The expectation was for us to eat and get out so they could prepare for the second seating. 3. The purser or customer service was bad. Depending on who might be on duty determined whether they exhibited cooperation. 4. We went on this cruise expecting it to be predominately Italian. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised at their attempt to make the announcements in English. But then what bothered me was that sometimes the announcements would be in english then othertimes only italian. That would make us wonder what we were missing. 5. The excursions were adequate but expensive. 6. First time we've had our end of cruise tipping automatically added to our bill. 7. And last but not least, the euro rate makes their cruises almost 11/2 times the U.S. rate.
We've been on at least 8 other cruises, Cunard and Princess, and I have never experienced such a bad cruise.

I would never recommend a Costa cruise to anyone I liked.
