This is a general view about booking James Villas. Used them before and we had a lovely time on the Costa Blanca.
The villa owners can cancel their contract . James then come back with " suitable" alternative. In our case, this was not suitable as we have an elderly relative who cannot get into a bath or use stairs easily.
We looked at other villas and asked if we could swap. James said yes as long as we paid the difference. When we protested, James intimated that we were trying to get an upgrade for free.
As this was not of our making, we were very upset at their total lack of concern. They offer no compensation if the changes are more than 56 days before departure, so beware!
James eventually came back with an offer of £150 off whatever we chose. Ok , it is a welcome gesture but again it was not of our making. We were faced with losing our Easy jet bookings if we cancelled the entire holiday, so we paid up.
James should tie the owners to legally binding contracts or not offer the villas in the first place. The disruption it caused was immence. This will have happened to the other bookings so 10 or more families are in a similar position.
Would not use James again, which is a pity, as our first experience was good.
