Good Points

The crew. The shows. The food. Cleanliness of the ship and its rooms. Overall grade A


Bad Points

There was a little construction going on but folks worked their way around it.


General Comments

I too was a little hesitant about this trip on the Pride of America after reading all the bad reviews. This ship services over 2000 people and I've come to the conclusion that the bad reviews are coming from folks who are looking for bad things.
When we first arrived the check in was real fast. I bet we didn't spend 5 minutes walking up to the counter getting our passes and walking on the ship. Our room was clean and everything was in it place.
The whole trip was wonderful. The islands were a beautiful site.
The food was great. We didn't participate in the speciality restaurants but that was our choice. That's what the cruise is about, you can chose what you want to do. I think the concept of free style cruise works. Do what you want to do and do it when ever you feel like it. When we did have to wait at the regular restuarants it wasn't over 10 minutes. Now there were just the two of us, a party of five or more could of taken longer. We found all the food on board to be good.
The entertainment on board was not what you would see in Vegas but it was semi-professional I think the kids did a wonderful job.
There was alway something going on. You could chose to particpate or not. Your Choice!
The check out proceedure was just as fast as the check on proceedure.
We have been on serveral cruises and this cruise rates right up there. I'm a travel consultant for a firm here where I live and have traveled all over and this trip was well worth it.

    Well I am so glad to hear some positive reviews as I am going with my husband next July for our 20th wedding anniversary! I have cruised mainly with RCI in the Med (we live in England) so this is going to be a long trip and I am hopeful that it will be great. Any suggestions for extra special excursions on the Islands or "must sees" - and thanks again for some constructive and positive comments.
