Good Points

Its small, cheap light, and fairly smart. Very easy to use, good battery life, fair picture quality outdoors in daylight, TV mode.

Bad Points

1.3Megapixels and fixed focus lens so not as sharp as a 2.1megapixel camera, most noticable when there isn't a person in the picture. Portraits are clear, landscapes OK but could be sharper. Indoors banding can occur and there is a bad red eye effect (no red eye reduction).

General Comments

This Oregon Scientific Dshot III digital camera is cheap and cheerful. Its simple and pretty good value. The photos are of viewable quality but look closer and its obvious where the money has been saved. If you want high quality snaps then best go for something like the excellent Fuji Finepix A202. My friend has one and it takes very good pictures.
