The earphones have great build quality and are very loud compared to other earphones on the same volume settings. Very good mid-low to mid-treble frequency range. They block out a lot of background noise and hold firmly in your ear.
Compared to my last earphones (Sony EX71, which I lost) it lacked as much LOW end and HIGH end sound. The EX71's had bass so clear and loud, you thought you should be feeling it in your chest. For accoustic songs and drum and bass, the treble of the Ex90's lacked the clarity needed to REALLY enjoy your music.
Very good earphones with great build quality but compared to my last set of earphones (Sony EX-71's which I lost) it lacked as much clarity with voice's, HIGH-end treble and LOW-end bass.
On some styles of music, the instruments mushed together. And after one day of using them I felt as if my head had taken a beating.
I've sold the Ex90's and bought another pair of EX-71's instead because I was much happier with them.
Compared to standard earphones these are excellent! They block out the noise well, they are very loud and surprisingly comfortable.
