pikey after sales service
General Comments
I always advise everyone looking for a phone to stay away from The Link because their after sales care is rubbish. I have a 3 yr insurance and my present (SonyZ7) phone keeps going wrong (screen freezes, sound stops working). Then my battery went dead in the first few months so took it back. I'd never taken a phone back before so I left the sim card in it. Apparently they're supposed to check if you've taken it out. They lost the sim card so had to get all my phone numbers i'd lost. They tried to blame me at first and make me buy a new one till I got the manager. They also managed to make up some excuse about why I couldn't have a replacement phone while my other was being fixed. The screen freezing and sound stop working still happens now just as frequently as before. I don't take it back cos I know i'll have to go through hell and back to get it sorted

If you purchased insurance (I recommend this to everyone!!!), exercise your rights and CLAIM!
If I'm not mistaken, contract payers with insurance are automatically entitled to a loan phone (provided they have one at the time). I don't think it applies to non-contract phones. I have certainly never experienced problems getting a loan phone. Even if they didn't have one at the time, they would put me on a waiting list, and within a day or two at most, would phone me to say the loan phone was ready for collection.
I'm sorry you've had problems, but give them another try, and remember you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
