Renewing my policy after a year!


General Comments

I was quite happy with my quote from Kwik Fit Car Insurance, but during the year I moved house and forgot to tell them, so when my insurance came up for renewal they must have taken the fact that nothing was returned from my old address as a sign that I wanted them to go ahead and insure me again.
I now have a debt recovery agency ringing me asking for cash, for a policy I have never seen and didn't want...

    You admitted that YOU "forgot" to notify Kwik-Fit. They would have explained at the time ,and sent you in writing their Terms and Conditions stating that YOU must inform them on any changes throught the term of your policy. You only have yourself to blame. If you had been in a claim situation the insurer would have been fully and legally entitled to reject your claim.
