Good Points

A hardy , beautiful tetra with a whole lot of personality. The Black Skirt or Black Widow tetra is a larger member of the family. They can be mixed with everything from peaceful community tetras up to semi-aggressive angelfish.

Bad Points

None that I can think of. The only point worth mentioning is that they are known for fin-nipping but this is only when mixed with guppies, fighters etc which is not recommended.

General Comments

Black Skirt Tetras grow to approx 6cm.
Tolerate a wide range of pH (as long as it is stable).
IMOpinion a tank no smaller than 125 litres should be used for a group of 5-6 with other fish. Although relatively small they are active and need room.
Keep with other large fish- panchax, angels, gouramis, tiger barbs etc.
