The staff who answer the telephones.
Easy to use internet banking.
First Direct was a great bank, but now I fall below the minimum salary level (by £100) I only qualify for an account because I have a small savings account. Once these funds are used, I will have my account closed.
I used to have a £250 overdraft facility, now I have to pay £25 for this facility. The internet banking was swift and efficient, however lately it has crashed on me twice, and my last email to Firstdirect was lost as the system was "unavailable" - 04.02.08
I was a big fan, but now it has lost its gloss. Its trying to be an elite bank, with minimum account levels.
When it started, as long as you had a regular income, and stayed within your overdraft limits, it offered a good service.
All good things come to an end!
