Self-effacing and honest. A book you really don't want to put down, great company on your own journey.
Gaps in description sometimes when several hundred miles are covered without any reflection. But then you remember that the Journey took 4 years.
The more interesting to read now over 30 years later. If you enjoyed recent tales of the famous pair on their BMWs then you will find this book of gritty experience far more enthralling.
