Rude unhelpful staff. High prices. Tring to get a bill was near impossible.
I moved house to find British Gas as my supplier. I had so much to do that I decided I woudl stick with British Gas. I called them and gave my details and a meter reading. I was advised my account would be set up.
After around 4 months I still had no bill so I called British Gas. They advised me there had been a problem setting up my account. I questioned why nobofy had contacted me. The girl i spoke with merely grunted, I didnt get very far.
Another month passes and still nothing from British Gas. i call this time after the telephone operator sounded confused I asked to speak with a supervisor. To cut a long story short nobody could explain why my account was causing problems. I regave the reading from when i moved in and again for the day I was phoning. I was assured a bill would be with me within 5 working days.
It took me 8 months to receive a bill from British Gas. It was a huge bill but I was given a discount as one thing British Gas did accept was it was their fault that I had had to wait 8 months for a bill.
I would avoid Britsih Gas as they didnt seem to have a clue about what was going on and the bill I did finally receive was massive which confused me as I hardly used gas.
