Good Points

The park is great for all ages, its in a beautiful countryside, theres a great range of rides and attractions including ever famous "The Ultimate" and "Eagles Claw" and rides for kids too. The staff are generally sensible and pleasing.

Bad Points

Don't rely on their food--you my not get what you want and its normally funfair food, the types of rides aren't exactly the best selection and the rollercoasters don't live up to their rivals like Nemisis or The Big One. The staff are usually boring and look tired.

General Comments

Lightwater Valley is a park to suit everyone-and it does just that in my opinion. From white knuckle rides like Eagles Claw and The Ultimate to Mini Ferris Wheel, Ladybird and Caterpillar coasters for the kids. There are also rides for the family to enjoy whether it be young, old, middle aged, teenagers like Lightwater Express train that goes all around the park, the Swan Lake where you can padle around a large lake in an enlarged swan! Really good place to eat your packed lunch. Main reason I suggest taking one is that you can't rely on finding what you want and its usually funfair food--the healthy option like pasta or baked potato isn't very interesting. The stuff that is is outside the park in the Granary Restaurant which is iconveniant. On the other hand theres a nice pub and beer garden in the wood near to Trauma Tower which serves alcohol and other pub food. Plus, theres a bird of prey centre where you can have a picture taken with a bird on your arm something which is quite rare for a day out and then theres the shopping village with lots of shops and outlets to spend your money on at low prices.

Overall I think, and based on my own experiences, that Lightwater Valley may not be the best theme park or even the greatest in the UK for things like rollercoasters, but what they have on show and the location of this park really sums up a park with great potential and one which is definatly one well worth visiting with the whole family.
