General Comments
I have not Hunted or fired a gun in 20+ years, it feels good to have that excitement back again. After using these reviews, I felt obligated to say thank you and add a word myself for those still looking for answers. I have the 22 cal. it has a simple, solid look of quality about it that anyone can appreciate. The Rifle shoots great at 20 - 40 yards, very accurate when I use shooting stix to aid me, not as steady as I once was, trigger adjustments are great, adjust to a smooth and easy to sqeeze trigger, perhaps a champion Marksman, that is into precise target shooting would expect better in accuracy and trigger adjustment, but, I don't think $180 - $400 would get that. I have tried 6 different pellets, 1 shot poor, 1 shot very poor, 2 were ok, RWS Domes shot good and JDS exacts shot good. The rifle is powerful enough to have no trouble taking down small game, Mine has a little twang, but seems to be getting less as time passes, lubricating of the spring and air chamber helped noticeably overall ! ( 2 drops for each, and different type lubricate for each ) the pamphlet said every 500 shots and do not over lubricate. I would suggest you buy cleaning supplies and lube when you buy a rifle.
I do not know what a $400 - $600 rifle would be like, the specs claim about the same velocity, about the same ft/lbs. of impact, and from what I read about the same accuracy, but if it could justify it's worth of 2 -3 times what the RWS 94 cost, DAMN, what a rifle it would have to be !!!! I might try one someday ? The RWS 94 has surpassed my expectations in quality and performance, I have no buyer remorse, and have recommended it to my Brother
