Good Points
Linkedin can find people who have been out of touch for a while.

Bad Points
For my field, competitors connect sometimes merely to pick my brain in an effort to compete and win... against... me.

General Comments
Pressure to respond to invitations. Feels a bit obligatory. Don't like that, therefore dont recommend Linkedin
