Good Points

The initial shock and panic of people on the streets and the head of the statue of liberty crashing into the hysterical crowd.

Bad Points

The very thin excuse for a storyline, seemingly only created to facilitate what should really be a 30 minute TV shocker into a two hour film. The lack of explanation of what was happening to the characters and why one of them just died very violently from a mystery reaction to being attacked by a creature. The vibe was definitely "Oh, God, that's horrible - oh well, let's move on"

General Comments

I have never been to the cinema where everyone - and I mean everyone, left without saying anything apart from negative comments. The most frequent comments we noted were "What a waste of time", "We've been stitched-up..." and "We could have seen Sweeney Todd instead, wish we had".... There was a palpable sense of loss. A valuable lesson in hype and why one shouldn't believe in it.
