Great Set of features, reasonably good image quality for a budget camera
Battery life on alkaline is unbelievably bad
Firmware issue(?) that causes the lens to jam and camera to lock
I too bought one of these cameras from Argos at £46 as a work backup and couldn't believe the features you got for the money. However, on the downside there are two major issues with the camera: 1) Within a day I, like two other reviewers here, have had camera lock-ups where the camera ceases to function or even turn off. The only way around this is to remove the batteries & re-insert them. I'm assuming this is a firmware issue and am currently a/w a response from Samsung UK. 2) It can't be over-emphasised how bad the battery life is on alkalines. I read some of these other reviews and thought them exaggerations but no, it truly is dire - 10 or so pictures and that's it. This off course means investing in a set of high mh rechargeables which if you intend buying this camera you should take into account.
