Introductory rate
Huge interest hike after introductory period - failure to communicate - do they really want customers?
I moved a balance from another credit card across to Egg to make the most of their introductory rate. I've paid on time by direct debit every month, never missed a payment and never gone over my credit limit. The interest rate, naturally, went up after the initial period - fair enough, but then, like another of your reviewers the rate went up yet again with no warning from them - just the change in the statement.
I've now received a letter from them saying that they've cancelled my card because of my "credit profile" quite how my credit profile is bad when I've only got a small balance (under £100) on the card, and payments are made regularly and promptly I do not know.
I'm certainly not going to be using Egg again, and would advise anyone else not to go there either.
