Not very nice on the phone
I have had a mortgage with gmac for 3 years I have not had a problem with them in the past, but I have never had to speak to them until now, have recently found a house insurance that is half the price I am paying at the moment, I phoned the insurance company payment shield and asked if I would be charged if I cancelled my insurance with them, they said no not at all...so I cancelled and setup with a new company, I got a letter in the post from gmac to say they where not happy that I have cancelled my house insurance with payment shield and that they wanted to see my new documents and that they where going to charge me £40.00 admin fee, can someone tell me what has my house insurance got to do with them and why they are charging me a fee when my insurance was not with them anyway.
