Good Points

A great place for the food, the service and the staff.


Bad Points

You're never going to get the perfect restaurant - my wife and I have paid a lot more for food at other establishments with no more to offer.
I suppose I would agree the tables are a little close, but this is a relatively small restaurant and the management have to make their business cost effective or else put their prices up. All in all Mario's is one the best kept secrets for really good food combined with excellent service and hospitality.


General Comments

Mario's Trattoria & Pizzera in Oldham, must be one of the very few restaurants in the Greater Manchester area that feels like you've just stepped off the street in an Italian holiday resort. The food is not only extremely good, it's also authentic (my wife's half Italian). The staff are probably the best point here - very friendly, very charming, but more so, they make it their business to turn non regular customers into regular customers by making them feel special and important. I hope I haven't given too much away or we'll never get a table!
