General Comments

I'm running 165 bhp under my metro i've had it 2 years and so far spent 2k. so far i've blown away RS TURBOS/UNO TURBOS XR2/3i's and it feels great. All my mates who have been in my car have all commented on have fast it is and that they never thought such metro apart from the 6r4 could be as quick as it is.

They follow the rule of being light, having good power and good gearing.

I was up at a track day, where i was pulling about 100 down one of the straights (thanks for the high final drive ford) in my standard XR2, a stanadard 16v metro was pulling 110!

It does have a power, weight and gearing advantage over the XR2 though! so unless your a cruddy driver these can be great track day cars!

    They are only a 1.4 aren't they?

Oh forgot the XR2 is an 8v as well so the metro has an advantage there as well because 16valve heads give more power and torque than 8v ones. Just way more expensive to tune!

I just like the look of my XR2 too much and am happy with few mods i've got planned.

If i wanted to go nuts i would buy another mk2 fester and try and squeeze a cossie lump and 4x4 running gear in! :)

Whats your reg so i can keep an eye out and get out the way! ;)
