General Comments
I bought the denon as a bedroom system, having seen good reviews. I expected a decent sound but have been bowled over by what this little box can do. I've tried it with a variety of speakers from Mission M71s which sounded excellent to seemingly silly matches such as Quad 11L's. Given that these components belong to different price categories and the Quad's are class leaders I was staggered that the little Denon - 22 watts per channel - not only drove the speakers but did so with remarkable poise and musicality. My last main system consisted of an award winning budget NAD CD player and amplifier. While not having the same power, the Denon, at less half the price and with a great tuner included, sounded even better. Amazing value for money.
