Good search features, lots of people use the site, it's free, straight forward profile form, you don't have to wait to get your pictures and text approved before they are posted.
I don't even know where to begin: the biggest problem with the site is that alot of girls are just there for fun and attention. This in my opinion is a sign of insecurity when you look outwards for approval. Finding the decent people who actually want to make online dating work is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. If you're a guy, be prepared to never be contacted by girl and to send out dozens of messages with only a few replies.
I have to agree with one of the reviewers below. I find many of the girls on this site are bitchy and come purely for the attention. The funny thing is that the girls are attractive, but definitely not beautiful, and they wouldn't have nearly as many guys falling over them in a public scenario. Such is life though. There are some decent girls out there though, you just have to send out a bunch of messages, have a good profile, and basically sell yourself. I am a resident in orthopedic surgery and I could have 10 girls at the snap of a finger (girls seem to like doctors?), but I wanted to try online dating to meet someone for the right reasons. I don't come out and tell them what I do right away. I find lavalife is the same way. It's all a big game of hit and miss, maybe some people want to play that, but I don't have to nor do I want to. POF is the same as a bar without the expensive drinks..
