This recorder is really frustrating. It will play some DVD's and not others. It's also very slow.

I have had nothing but problems from when I purchased the LVW 5006, then I decided to take the reader from the inside of the cassing and clean the lense, when taking apart the front part of the slide in and out tray came off (it was just a push on) when I put it back together I left off the front and behold I haven't had a problem since, it pre prepares all not formated disks and records and plays without any problems, its like a new machine. the reason I believe is the tray is not resricted from going all the way into the cassing giving the lense a chance read from the disc. if yours is playing up it is worth trying!!
