Bad Points

Lousy AUTOLOCK mechanism. Unlike the Carens LX model or the Sportage, the Carens EX won't automatically lock/unlock the doors when you start/turn-off the engine. and if you forget to lock the doors, it also does not automatically lock when the car speed reaches 40-50 km/hr as vouched for by their sales people. Moreover, Alarm is armed only after 30-45 seconds unlike my old Toyota Revo and Honda Civic whose alarms are armed almost instantaneously upon pressing the lock remote.

General Comments

Test-drove a Kia Carens LX manual model. Nice torque/power. Bought the 2008 EX model CRDi A/T aqua-blue. I am greatly satisfied with the power, comfort and safety feature of my KIA Carens. With the price increase of the EX 2008 model, Kia should have retained the most of the good 2007 features.
