General Comments
The book is about a boy called Bud who lives in a carehome because his mother died. His father is alive somewhere, but Bud could not find any trace of him. Bud gets sent to a foster family who are really cruel to him. At that point, Bud decides to run away in the dead of night in search of his father. His only clue to him is a flyer for a band called 'The Dusky Devastators of the Depression', which he found in his mothers private drawer after she died. Along the way, Bud has lots of mini adventures. Will Bud find his father in the end?
