Good Points

MACRO - best I have ever used


Bad Points

Flash - either too strong or too weak
Telephoto poor (but at its time above ave)


General Comments

Had this camera now for over 5 years and have pretty much got used it. The majority of my time I use it for macro (butterfly chasing) ... I know, pretty sad arn't I !!! The macro on this camera never ceases to amaze - I have some fair photos on my homepage http://www.stevebb.com which I am pretty proud of for a 3.34 megapixel camera. With the ability to get within 2cm of a subject it is amazing what detail you reveal. However, the downside I have found is the flash is useless in macro (expected really) but just not strong enough in say photographing the school play. Just cannot get close enough to the subject to illuminate it. I'm at the point of upgrading right now - may go for the Nikon 5700 or possibly the new Minolta A1 (now the price has come down £300) ... thanks to Canon for forcing that one !!!
Summary, superb camera - and for the money you can buy one 2nd hand on Ebay these days an absolute gift !!
