General Comments

I bought the R9 because of all the rave reviews globaly, I've always enjoyed a good quality break-barrel springer!

Overall the R9 is impressive to say the least, the blueing is superb and flawless with German engineering oozing all over the place. The rifle is really nice to look at.

The Rekord trigger is about the best unit on this gun and aids in extracting some accuracy!

Personally I could never get my R9 to shoot with good accuracy performance, it was always a hit or miss with this rifle. I have recently sold it because of it's erratic shooting behavior.

Now, I don't want to offend the die hard R9ers out there but this gun doesn't live up to my shooting abilities. I think the gun is not meant for my style of shooting!

In the right hands this gun may perform with authority and pinpoint accuracy, but from my real life personal experience it's not the gun for me!

My R9 had a twangy and buzzy shot cycle which was a hit or miss most of the time. The vibrations are definately not good in achieving good accuracy. I'm not trying to bad mouth the R9, it was just not a good shooting experience for me in the six months that I shot the rifle!

Again, please take this review with a grain of salt, the R9 maybe right for you, you've got to be the judge of that, I'm just letting you know what my feelings and actual shooting experieces were!

What is your break barrel experience shooting springer air rifles? It is different then shooting a powder rifle or PCP you have to stay in the scope longer and have a light hold for the rifle some call artillery hold stock resting on the flat palm of the hand or regular hold near the trigger guard.

These type techniques changes the accuracy of the air rifle, you can't strong arm a springer and get accuarcy.

There are rare accounts like your's were the R9 or any quality springer is not a good fit.
