Attractive layout. A free website that actually IS easy to build, and looks great to boot. A registry service that isn't tied to any specific supplier... Given the slogan says "Register Anything," it makes sense.
Friendly Customer support, that feels personal and attentive.
There's not much to say negatively really... other than the fact that I had to trawl through a lot of sites that didn't seem to offer the same features... I hope as it continues to grow, that it'll be easier for others to latch on to and use.
A free, colour and subject themed celebration website (Ours was a wedding, but we're starting to build a christening one ahead of a new arrival) When I think about all the tat we've been bought over the years when people have wanted to buy us a gift, but haven't really known what we needed or wanted...
We were married in Autumn '07, and as we'd been together 4 years already, all the usual gift list suspects didn't really apply. We'd already got the toasters, teasets and towers of crockery... We didn't have a jet ski excursion though... or the flight upgrades.. until we joined Just The Thing... our guests gave us an incredible honeymoon... and my mates chipped infor my Xbox360... which the wife is really impressed with. Honest.
All our dealings with the JustTheThing team have been easy and very friendly. We were able to withdraw the gift fund with no problems, and were supplied with Registry cards to send out with our wedding invites.. making the whole thing easier than we could've hoped.
I think all our Birthdays and Christmas celebrations will involve Just The Thing from now on...
