After warming up for a while, the amp performs beautifully, especially bi wired with my elderly mission argonaughts.
It's also a tough amp with protection against all those little mistakes like accidental shorts and pops whilst kak handed audiophiles like me reconnect different equipment.
Bass + treble only add or take 6db rather than the usual 10 or 12, and although you shouldn't need it, it's always nice to have the option.
I have an early version which predates the CD input, however due to the extra tape input, over the years I have never been short, even through the R77/dat/dcc/tape years.
The mm and mc preamp stages also shone with a linn lp12 + atoc5, though all my vinyl has now been digitised so now I just have a laptop with 1Tb hdd and the TV plugged in..... I know, I know, but I'm also head of a family of demolition experts, so I keep it all in the attic for retirement happy in the knowledge that the amp will probably out last me!
