Good Points

Stylish, compact, easy to use, comes with mains charger


Bad Points

Can't delete a track from the actual player, have to add it to trash so it will be deleted next time it's connected to a computer - wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for the fact it still plays items which are marked as trash. Volume button not incredibly sturdy.


General Comments

I'm on my second Sony MP3 player. I bought it as I didn't want to follow the crowd in getting an iPod and I don't regret it. It's a great little player - haven't had as many problems with the software as many people have although I do recognise it could be better.

The main issue I have is with the volume button - after a fair bit of use (around a year or so I guess) the one on my first player fell off so the only way I could alter the volume was via the remote control I was lucky enough to get with it (on an ebay auction). The draw back is that the remote control is on a wire itself so it doubles the wire length from headphone to player.

I have had my current one for maybe coming up for a year and the volume control is starting to fall off again so I'm having to replace the unit again. This time reluctantly not going for another one as I can't afford to keep up this replacing rate which is a real shame.
