We got our Ariston AL 109 (Margherita 2000) here in the Philippines last December 2001. Uses a minimal amount of water. So far, we had trouble-free performance for the past six years.
Bad Points
Metal casing rustproofing is not that good as my machine has chipped paint and rust on the sides and it's not even in contact with water. Rinse cycle dispenses too little water for a very decent rinse. Repeat rinse cyles have to be done to remove all traces of detergent.
General Comments
Generally, I would consider Ariston AL 109 as a fairly good machine. It uses a minimal amount of water and thus saves a lot on waters bills. However, the machine is not as quiet as before when it does the spin.
