General Comments
On 29th October 2007, I posted some change of signatories for the bank account for the local Rainbow Guides unit that I run. On 21st December I phoned up to enquire about where they were with it and got a load of waffle, but nothing useful. Today (21st Jan) I phoned up and they said that the case had been opened on the 24th December and it would take 4-5 weeks from there and promised me a managers phone call. Apparently, it takes this long to do a change of signatories. This sounds like complete waste to me, I would imagine that a big company would be very unhappy if they had to wait 4 weeks to change the signatories on their accounts. It's not an account that I would have chosen for this purpose - a few hundred pounds a year for what is effectively a small society, the account is clear based around businesses with more money. I shall be closing the account as soon as I have control of it and transferring all the money to a Lloyds Bank Clubs and Societies account which looks a lot more fit for purpose. A&Ls customer service is appalling, they just won't pass me to anyone who will take responsibility.
