First of all this gun is like a tank. I can drop it or even better throw it on the floor with out even having the worry of it breaking, with out the gas of coarse. Point is if your not a hardcore player meaning "On a Team" and you like non-electronic markers that shoot hard and slow than this is the best for your money. Well thats 5 points there and I give it another 4 points for its accuracy. Oh yeah and thats the 2 best things about this gun its hardness and its accuracy. I shot a contact in engagement from all the way across an indoor field with ease zeroing in, estimate close to a football field. 100% sure, minimum of 70 maximum of 90 yards. Made for indoor use IMO good for outdoors as well. Shot with windshields of about 20 MPH with open field maneuvers nothing but a desert of snow.
The reason why I gave it a 9 and not a 10 is because sadly this gun was discontinued for a while now and even the String Ray II is no longer in production.
Anyone who reads this has to remember I am in no way comparing this to an autococker or any type of electronic gun or even the new Tippman A5 if they have upgraded it. The first A5 Tippman model when I fired it when the Brass Eagle String Ray was in production I still liked the Sting Ray better. Sadly my stingray is dieing. Had it for about 7 years and it doesn't shoot as hard as it did. I still remember the first game I played with it someone said "Damn man your gun shoots really hard". I have gotten many compliments and still trying to figure out how and why. Most likely newbies where there mom buys them an angel and then see my gun and is like oh wow... so thats how pointball guns used to look. Kind of like someone 50 years from now that has no clue what a Mustang Boss looks like and sees one for the first time. R.I.P. Stingray. My next gun will most likely be a Tippman since Brass Eagle sucks now.
