Good Points

A high velocity for a co2 powered air pistol, easy to maintain, highly accurate after some practice, smooth cocking and firing action.


Bad Points

The revolver style clip makes it difficult to load darts and bb's, the paint job wears a little after a few years.


General Comments

My brother gave me one of these air pistols, it had a silver finish unlike the one shown in the picture.

I found it to be difficult to fire using the built in sight, but when fired by feel "pointing relaxing and firing without looking down the sight" I found it possible to hit pop cans at about 30 meters consistently.

It has broken down a couple of times over the years, the first time it was simply jammed and I had to re seat the components using a pdf schematic from the crosman site as a guide.

The second time it broke it was due to a long peice of hardened steel that had snapped, it had to do with holding the hammer back and was linked to the trigger. I was able to fabricate a replacement out of a bit of couch spring.

I find that the main reason the muzzle velocity drops after a few shots is that the co2 canister refrigerates itself, and after warming back up it builds pressure again.

I would suggest for the casual user to fire in a slower manner, taking time for each shot allowing for the canister to warm.

It might even help to insert a wad of paper tissue saturated in a light oil or water to keep the canister from cooling.

overall I would recommend this air pistol as it can take years of punishment.
