Later models with the mahogany block are extremely heavy. Quality control on these is just as dismal as all post WWII Gibson guitars. Do not buy without thoroughly scrutinizing it for defects.
General Comments
ES 135 with the balsa center block are the best Gibson semi-solid guitars ever produced. Great tone and sustain with a timbrel quality more similar to a true hollow body guitar, but also with good sustain. ES 135's rule!
