We have been going to Barcelo Las Margaritas Hotel for the last two years, and would have gone twice in the first year if we could have got booked in. Have had friends that have also been and recommend it highly for families. Highly recommend the apartments (self catering) as can take a walk and within 15 minutes pretty much find anything food wise that you would desire (Hard Rock, Chinese, Italian, Thai, you name it!) As for the comments about the area, dont know why as not rough nor rowdy. Maybe it is because not right on doorsteps of pubs and clubs, which is good (and you get some sleep!). Actually found this site as looking to book again for May 2008!
