Fabulous looking rifle
Quality control on Tactical stock
Limited scope length
I chose the Tactical finish stock for the look and durability in all weather conditions. The only thing i feel is a bad point on this rifle is the quality control of the stock blanks, there where a few remnants of plastic from where holes had been drilled. These were removed with a blade in seconds, but as BSA's flagship model 'springer' you would have thought this would not be an issue. The wooden stock looks like it has had some care put in making it, so why not the same for the plastic? The blind stamping in the plastic also looks a bit of an afterthought. There could have been a fabulous design with an artistic font, proudly stating 'Made In Birmingham' instead of the crude attempt supplied. Plastic can be beautiful too!!!!!
That said, the rest of the gun is superb and something to be proud of that is made in england! The gun feels solid from the second you pick it up, it's not too heavy so is perfect for carrying around all day. I can see why so many people rave about this gun, take their advice too and buy one if you can. It was good enough to prompt me to write this review!!!!
