General Comments

I went to Bride Be Lovely on a Saturday in January. We had booked an appointment and were welcomed into the shop. The staff seemed like they really knew what they were doing. I was a little disappointed as it was the first shop I had been in to look for my wedding dress, as i browsed through them I noticed many of them looked very cheap with the beading and fabrics etc. I chose 4 to try on and one of them was really nice, the staff were explaining where alterations would be made and seemed like they had plenty of experience. The good part was the changing rooms, the cubicles were really big, and the outside part where you look in the mirror is really good with a sofa for whoever you have decided to bring with you to sit. They put tiaras and veils on you so you can really get a picture of what you will look like, but then again so does every other shop. Another bad part was the sample sizes, I'm a size 14 which is probably average nowadays, but still had to be pinned into dresses so you can't really see what the back will look like. After an hour of being in the shop we felt ushered out by the staff although we had booked an appointment and the shop wasn't busy, considering this is probably the most expensive dress I will buy and it's for the most important day of my life I wasn't very impressed. Did manage to find the perfect dress in Pronuptia, very nice dresses and friendly staff, I was in there for 3 hours in total!! Also Berketex in the Arndale were very good. Hope you found this helpful, have tried to be as truthful as possible, if you're planning your wedding you will know how stressful it is!!!
