Good Points

The adrenaline of catching fish is so addictive, just use the suspend lure and move the stick left and right a few times and BAM, within 15 seconds of casting you're reeling in a massive 10 pound bass. There are many lures to try and some of them work a treat, like the m-crank and d-crank but nothing beats the suspend. The added bonus of a fishing game is that you can use the fishing rod controller and this makes the game more interactive and alot more fun and exciting to play.

Bad Points

There are only 2 types of fish to catch in this game, the black bass and the blue gill. I conquered this game in just over 2 hours as you anly need to catch 1 fish in some tournaments to unlock more tournaments. The fishing spots are limited as there is only 6 possibilities.

General Comments

This game can become very addictive very quickly because you won't be stopping by the fish and chip shop on your way home, thats for sure. You can catch around 30-40 fish an hour, which is not really realistic as the fish eat pretty much anything that moves. This game could be so much more better as it has poor graphics, limited fishing spots, stupid fish and a limited variety in fish to catch but is made exciting and addictive by its simple nature of catching fish and fighting the ones determined not to become dinner. This game is only a rental game as it is easy to play, incedibly quick to finish and can grow bland quickly once completed.

Enjoyed the review, its true though, there seems to be an obsesssion with bass when it comes to fishing games. Fishsim2 for the p.c is great and also Jack Charltons Match Fishing on the ancient zx spectrum +2 is legendary.
